Black Platinum Energy is an Indonesian focused oil and gas exploration company formed by private investors with a proven track record of success in Indonesia. Over the past several years, BPE management has assembled a select exploration portfolio of oil and gas assets in Indonesia having a common theme as follows:
- all assets are located in offshore proven basins, close to successful plays and infrastructure increasing the chance of success and development of any discovered hydrocarbons;
- substantial G&G data is already established for each of the assets reducing the time needed to be spent on geological and geophysical studies, and;
- exploration targets are relatively well defined accelerating the timing needed to do exploration drilling. Prospects have been identified/mapped and are technically ready to drill.
Purchasing Specialist/ Office Administrator
The job entails undertaking basic day to day procurement duties and administering office activities for approximately 25 people as outlined below and will report to the Controller.
Job Responsibilities:
- Determines method of procurement, such as direct purchase or bid as required under BPMIGAS PTK 007;
- Prepares purchase & service orders or bid requests;
- Reviews bid proposals and provides recommendations to senior management (within budgetary limitations and scope of authority);
- Review orders to determine product types and quantities required to meet end user requirements;
- Maintains manual or computerized procurement records, such as Purchase Order/Sales Order Logs and Contracts Register;
- Coordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services amongst various departments within the Company;
- Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule as well as handling any product or service issues;
- Interfaces with the Company s building landlord on office matters and manages the physical office area.
Educational Requirements and Work Experience:
An applicant should have the following requirements:
- A minimum four year undergraduate degree in business from an accredited Indonesian university;
- A good understanding of general purchasing controls and procedures;
- At least 5 years work experience in procurement, preferably with an oil & gas company;
- A thorough understanding of BP MIGAS procurement regulations and guidelines e.g. PTK 007;
- Fluent (both in writing and speaking) Bahasa Indonesia and English.
